After a night of pure confusion, I thanked you for something that, when said aloud, seemed so silly but in my head was so important. You just nodded and smiled and told me I didn’t need to thank you for something that should always be done in the first place. I just looked out the window in unbelief because if I had been sitting beside anyone else, the night would have turned so different and I wouldn’t feel so full as I did then. And it was in that moment that I knew, around you was where I was meant to be.
